DC Power Supplies –Design in House or Buy off-the-Shelf?
There are four options for their DC/DC converters when determining the power needs for their end product. This paper will focus on the discussion of options (1) and (2) and it is intended to aid customers in deciding which of the two best meets their needs. Comparisons of performance, cost and time to market are made and the overriding assumption is that the lowest cost of ownership is the target, although it is recognized that other important factors exist.
